I’m busy working out of my basket of cotton yarn today. I had an exam this morning and now I need a little hooker therapy. I’m making wash cloths from the 100% cotton yarn, and will have these in the shop soon.
I ordered the yarn for my temperature blanket 2 days ago, and in impatience I’m waiting…and waiting, for the UPS man to show up. I’m pretty certain it hasn’t even shipped yet but I’m really excited to start this! 🙂
What are you working on today?
Winter has moved into our area, though with it being 59 degrees today one would be hard pressed to prove that! Have no fear, in greater Cincinnati one only needs to wait a few minutes before the weather will change. Snow and cold will make an appearance before long.
While waiting for the snow to fly I’ve been working on a number of scarves to sell. These are nice and thick, 72 inches long, and I can customize the colors to suit a variety of preferences. I’m currently working on matching hats. The hat pattern that comes with the scarf pattern simply isn’t working up to look right, so I’m on a quest to find a new one so I can make them and get them on the shop. I have 3 more scarves that should release later today in the Etsy Shop. Currently I am working on the fringe for them, and I am not a big fan of doing fringe for some reason. But it does complete these so fringing I will be!
My favorite thing to do when hooking a project is listening to music or watching TV. As luck would have it, Harry Potter has been on, can one ever watch that too many times?

I recently took a custom order for a baby blanket that is rather unique. It is taking a bit longer to complete because mom ended up in the hospital and life in our home went off the rails for a while. But it is nearly finished and I cannot wait to deliver it. The customer is local, so I refunded the shipping. I really want to see her face when she views the finished product for the first time.
This is a Bavarian crochet blanket, but rather than baby colors she wanted it completed in earthy tones to match the soon-to-arrive little one’s room. I wasn’t sure what to expect but have just been amazed at how incredibly gorgeous this blanket has turned out! This is a photo of the original blanket (we’ve made and sold 2 of these already, very popular!):
The mom-to-be and I picked these colors to work up the custom order, going from 7 to 4 colors:
Once the finished product has been delivered, I will post a photo.
Next up on the custom order list is a really cute elephant rug, pattern can be purchased from IRAROTT Patterns on Etsy:
Isn’t that just too adorable! Boo is shopping for the yarn and going to make it. If all goes well we will make another and sell it in the shop, as this is just adorable.
